Interpreting assignment — book the session
You leave the chat with a real assignment booked at a real time, for the length that kind of assignment takes — not a form and a wait for somebody to check a diary.

Across Translation & interpretation: EzyConn captures and routes the job. It does not translate or interpret.
The situation it is for
Interpreting is booked by phone because it has to be agreed in one exchange, and the exchange is always the same five questions. This is the one language service that is a block of somebody's time, so it is the one this platform can book outright.
Somebody needs an interpreter. The bot asks which two languages, whether it is by phone, by video or in person and for how long, when they need it, where it is and what the interpreter should know — then offers the times you actually have free for that length of assignment and books it.
Who runs it
Interpreting agencies and language service providers with an interpreting desk.
It starts when somebody types
- “book an interpreter”
- “i need an interpreter”
- “interpreting booking”
- “telephone interpreter”
- “on-site interpreter”
- “video interpreter”
The conversation
What it asks
8 questions, asked in this order. Every answer is written down for whoever picks the job up.
- 01Language spoken
“Which language does the client speak?”
The language the material is in now. The options are the languages you have configured; an answer that is not on your list is kept exactly as the visitor typed it, for a person to read.
- English
- Spanish
- French
- German
- Portuguese
- Italian
- Arabic
- Mandarin Chinese
- Japanese
- Korean
- Russian
- Hindi
- 02Language needed
“And which language does the interpreter need to work into?”
The language it is needed in.
- English
- Spanish
- French
- German
- Portuguese
- Italian
- Arabic
- Mandarin Chinese
- Japanese
- Korean
- Russian
- Hindi
- 03What you need
“How is it being done — by telephone, by video, or in person, and roughly how long for?”
Decides how long the appointment is, which item on your price list is booked, and how the next question is worded.
- Telephone interpreting — up to 30 minutes
- Video interpreting — up to an hour
- In-person interpreting — up to two hours
- In-person interpreting — half day
- 04Deadline
“When do you need somebody — today or tomorrow, within the week, within two weeks, or is there no fixed date yet?”
Written onto the request for whoever picks it up. It re-orders nothing — there is no queue to sort into — and it is the fact that most changes how the work is planned.
- Today or tomorrow
- Within the week
- Within two weeks
- No fixed date yet
- 05Name
“Who should the assignment be booked under?”
The name the appointment or enquiry is recorded under.
- 06Phone
“What's the best number to reach you on?”
The only way to reach the customer if anything changes.
- 07Email
“And the best email address for the confirmation?”
The email address it is recorded against.
- 08Where and anything else
“Where is the assignment, and is there anything the interpreter should know?”
The venue or the number to dial, and whatever the interpreter needs in order to arrive prepared. The kind of assignment decides how it is worded.
Those options are the starting set. The services you configure — and, where a process asks for them, the languages you work in — replace them, and the wording follows.
The rules that run
Checks, not judgement calls. The same answer every time, from your own settings.
- Is this a number that actually dials?
- Is this time still free?
What you need set up
Settings in your own account. Nothing here is guessed on your behalf.
- Your opening hours
- Your timezone
- Your services, their length and their price
- Your price list
- The languages you work in — optional
Without your hours and timezone there are no times to offer, so the process hands every customer to a person instead of inventing one.
How it can end
The complete list. There is no other ending it can reach.
- Appointment booked
- Nothing free — handed to a person
- Handed to a person
- Visitor left
- Something went wrong — handed to a person

The limits
This process runs, and it stops short of something its name suggests. Here is exactly what, in full.
- A confirmation email is sent. No SMS is sent from any process.
- No individual member of staff is chosen.
- No money changes hands inside a process.
- Urgency is written onto the appointment for whoever works it.
- The languages offered are the ones you have configured, read when the process is built, with no cap on how many.
- A language the business did not list is captured, not refused. The process never tells a customer their pair is unavailable, because it has no way to know.
- The venue is captured, not checked. An agency that must refuse out-of-area in-person work does not get that here.
- The language pair is not written on the appointment itself. Somebody reading the diary alone sees a two-hour in-person assignment and has to open the conversation to see which languages it is in.
- The date comes from the diary, not from a typed date.
And what is not in the product at all
Not a setting you have missed, and not on a list of things arriving shortly.
- Nothing checks a language pair against the ones you staff. A pair you do not cover is captured — and, where the process books, booked — for a person to unpick.
- An appointment is written against the business diary and names nobody in particular, so nothing knows who is free or who has the right skill for it.

Translation & interpretation
You answer ten short questions instead of filling in a quote form and waiting, you see the language pair read back to you so a typo does not cost you a day, and a person picks it up with everything they need.
