Messaging
8 ways in. One conversation behind them.
Customers message where it suits them, which is rarely where it suits you. EzyConn puts the same agent on your website, your phone line, WhatsApp, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, email and Zoom, and puts every one of those conversations in the same place for your team to pick up.

Why it matters
Enquiries arrive in four places and get answered in none of them. The WhatsApp one goes to whoever’s phone it landed on. The website one waits until somebody opens the tab. The email one is answered twice, by two people, differently.
Adding a tool per channel makes that worse: now the answer to “what do you charge” lives in four systems and drifts apart in all four.
One agent on all of them means one set of content to keep right, one place to look for a conversation, and a customer who gets the same answer whichever door they came through.
How it works
Direction by direction, with nothing rounded up.
Some tools list a channel because the setting exists. This table is what is built, connected and running today.
| Channel | Receives | Sends | Agent answers | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Your website | Yes | Yes | Yes | Answers stream in word by word. The only channel with the safety gate wired. |
| Your phone line | Yes | No | Yes | Inbound calls only, on your own Twilio number. |
| Yes | Yes | Yes | Two-way, with human takeover. | |
| Slack | Yes | Yes | Yes | Both directions, verified end to end in production. |
| Microsoft TeamsBeta | Yes | Yes | Yes | Beta. Same shape as Slack, in Teams. |
| Telegram | Yes | Yes | Yes | Two-way, with human takeover. |
| Yes | Yes | Yes | Inbound mail answered or routed to a person. | |
| Zoom | Yes | Yes | Limited | A server-to-server app for meeting workflows rather than a chat channel. |
Who uses it
Whoever has more than one inbox.
Trades and workshops
The phone and WhatsApp carry almost everything. The website form carries the rest, and nobody reads it until Friday.
Clinics, salons and studios
Reception is answering the door, the phone and three chat threads at once. Administrative work only for the healthcare and dental ones — the boundary is here.
Teams who live in Slack or Teams
Support, internal helpdesks and agencies who would rather answer a customer without opening a fifth application.
What it can do
A person can take the conversation at any point.
Human takeover works across channels. Somebody on your team steps in, the agent stands down, and the reply goes back out on whichever channel the customer is actually using — not as a second thread somewhere else.
One inbox, every channel
Website, phone, WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, Telegram and email conversations all land in the same place, with the transcript attached when one is handed over.
Answer from where your team already sits
Slack and Microsoft Teams work in both directions, so a reply typed in the channel your team lives in reaches the customer on theirs.
Each agent has a capacity
You set how many live conversations one person can hold, so a busy hour does not quietly dump nine chats on whoever is fastest.
A handoff is never a dead end
Three unproductive turns, an explicit request for a person, or a question the agent will not answer, and it goes to your team rather than looping.
What it works with
- Zapier. Sixteen real events — every booking, conversation and contact change — into 6,000+ apps.
- Webhooks. The same events, signed, straight to your own endpoint.
- Twilio. Your own account, for the phone line and for SMS notifications.
Declared in the product’s own catalogue but not built: HubSpot · Salesforce · Zendesk · Shopify · Stripe · Mailchimp. We list them so you can see what is missing, not to imply they work.
Channels we do not have
Facebook Messenger · Webex · Notion · Intercom exist in EzyConn only as names in a settings list, with nothing behind them. An older version of this website sold four of them as products. They are not products, and this table is the correction.
EzyConn has no CRM, dealer-management, practice-management, EHR, order-management or field-service connector, and it does not sync with Google Calendar, Outlook or Calendly. Availability is worked out from bookings EzyConn made itself. Everything else leaves through Zapier or a webhook.
What plan includes it
Every channel is on every plan. How many you connect at once is not.
Messaging is not a paid module. What your tier decides is how many integrations can be active together, how many people can hold a conversation, and how many messages you get per period.

The account owner is not counted as an agent seat, so a tier listing three agents holds four people including you. No tier is uncapped.

What messaging cannot do.
The limit: SMS is not a conversation channel. EzyConn can send an SMS notification through your own Twilio account, but nobody can hold a two-way conversation with the agent over text, and no process sends an SMS confirmation. If text messaging is how your customers expect to reach you, this is the wrong tool.
Microsoft Teams is in beta
Built and working in both directions, and labelled beta everywhere on this site because that is its state in the product. Treat it as newer than the rest.
Five channels other tools list, we do not have
Facebook Messenger, Webex, Notion, Intercom. Each is a name in an enumeration with no implementation behind it. There is no timeline attached to any of them.
The safety gate is website-only
The deterministic screen that runs before every widget message is not wired to WhatsApp, Telegram, email, the phone line or the staff test bot. Only the widget has it.
Zoom is not a chat channel
The Zoom integration is a server-to-server app for meeting workflows. Do not buy EzyConn expecting customers to hold a supported conversation inside Zoom chat.
No connector to your other systems
There is no CRM, helpdesk, dealer-management, practice-management, EHR or order-management integration, and no calendar sync. Everything leaves through Zapier or a signed webhook.
Seats are counted, on every tier
Agent seats run 1, 3, 10, 999 across the four plans. No plan offers uncounted team members, and we are not going to describe one as if it did.
Put one agent behind every door you have.
Start with the two channels that carry the most enquiries. Adding the third takes an afternoon.
