Urgent callout — get a person on to it now

You are not asked to pick a time slot. You say where you are and what's happened, and somebody takes over the conversation.

Across Home services: The job sheet carries a postcode, not a street address, and you can offer three services.

The situation it is for

The out-of-hours message that used to sit unread until morning. It gets qualified, geographically filtered and escalated with a working phone number attached, in the time it takes to type three answers.

Water is coming through a ceiling, or there's no heat in January. The bot checks the address is one you cover, finds out what's happened, takes a number that dials, and puts a colleague on the conversation — it does not offer an appointment.

Who runs it

Trades that take urgent work — plumbing, heating, electrical, restoration.

It starts when somebody types

  • emergency
  • burst pipe
  • water coming through the ceiling
  • no heat and it's freezing
  • urgent help
  • flooding

The conversation

What it asks

5 questions, asked in this order. Every answer is written down for whoever picks the job up.

  1. 01Postal code

What's the postal code where you need us?

Decides the service area before anything else is promised.

  2. 02What you need

What's happened — water coming in, no heat or hot water, or no power?

Decides which route the conversation takes and which team is named to the customer. Nothing is booked here, so no appointment length is read.

    • Water coming in — a burst or a leak
    • No heat or no hot water
    • No power
  3. 03Name

And who's there — who should they ask for?

The name the appointment or enquiry is recorded under.

  4. 04Phone

What's the best number to reach you on?

The only way to reach the customer if anything changes.

  5. 05Email

And an email address, in case we can't get you on the phone?

The email address it is recorded against.

Those options are the starting set. The services you configure — and, where a process asks for them, the languages you work in — replace them, and the wording follows.

The rules that run

Checks, not judgement calls. The same answer every time, from your own settings.

  • Do we cover this postcode?
  • Is this a number that actually dials?

What you need set up

Settings in your own account. Nothing here is guessed on your behalf.

  • The postcodes you cover
  • Your services, their length and their price

How it can end

The complete list. There is no other ending it can reach.

  • Outside the area you cover
  • Handed to a person
  • Visitor left

The limits

This process runs, and it stops short of something its name suggests. Here is exactly what, in full.

  • The team is named, not assigned. Either way the conversation goes to whoever picks it up, with the right team written down in front of them.
  • It books nothing, on purpose. Offering 'Tuesday at two' to somebody with water coming through a ceiling is the failure this shape exists to avoid — and urgency re-orders nothing in EzyConn anyway, so a booked 'emergency' slot would be an ordinary slot with a word on it.
  • A business that wants urgent work booked rather than escalated should install HS-01, whose urgency question carries an emergency level.

And what is not in the product at all

Not a setting you have missed, and not on a list of things arriving shortly.

  • A handoff writes down the right team and nothing delivers the conversation to it. It reaches whoever picks it up, with the team named in front of them.
  • A process cannot page anybody, send a text message, or connect a call.

More for home services

Built on the same engine and the same settings — get a person on it now is one of 6 shapes the whole catalogue is made from.

Everything EzyConn does for home services

  • HS-01Available now

    New service request

    Home services

You say what's wrong and where you are, and you leave the chat with a real appointment at a real time — not a promise that somebody will call you back.

  • HS-02Available, with a limit

Existing customer — move or cancel a booked visit

    Home services

You give the details the job is booked under and either pick a new time from what's actually free or cancel it — in the same conversation, without a phone call and without waiting for somebody to ring back.

Run this one on your own hours, services and postcodes.

Starter and above. Your settings decide the wording, the durations, the prices and the times it offers — nothing on this page is a template you have to accept as written.
