Diagnostic or repair request
You say where the car is and what it's doing, and somebody is booked to come to it — you don't have to get it to a garage first.

Across Automotive: No dealer management system, no VIN decode, no parts or warranty lookup.
The situation it is for
A fault report is a different conversation from a service booking: the customer cannot tell you what the job is, only what the car is doing. This asks the second question and turns it into the first.
Something is wrong and the car may not be going anywhere. The bot checks you cover where the car is, works out what sort of job it is, takes their details and books you in for the right length of time at the vehicle.
Who runs it
Mobile mechanics and roadside repair operators who travel to the vehicle.
It starts when somebody types
- “mobile mechanic”
- “car won't start”
- “come to my car”
- “warning light”
- “mobile car repair”
- “roadside repair”
The conversation
What it asks
7 questions, asked in this order. Every answer is written down for whoever picks the job up.
- 01Postal code
“What's the postal code where you need us?”
Decides the service area before anything else is promised.
- 02What you need
“What do you need — a diagnostic, brakes, or a battery and charging problem?”
Decides how long the appointment is, which item on your price list is booked, and how the next question is worded.
- Mobile diagnostic
- Brakes
- Battery & charging
- 03How soon
“Is the car off the road, or is it still drivable?”
Written onto the appointment for whoever works it. It moves nobody up a queue — EzyConn has no priority queue and no callout deadline to sort into.
- It's off the road — I can't drive it
- Drivable, but I want it looked at this week
- Planned — book me in
- 04Name
“And who should we put this down for?”
The name the appointment or enquiry is recorded under.
- 05Phone
“What's the best number to reach you on?”
The only way to reach the customer if anything changes.
- 06Email
“What's the best email address for the appointment and its confirmation?”
The email address it is recorded against.
- 07What the car is doing
“Briefly, what's it doing?”
Lets whoever attends arrive prepared; the service decides how it is worded.
Those options are the starting set. The services you configure — and, where a process asks for them, the languages you work in — replace them, and the wording follows.
The rules that run
Checks, not judgement calls. The same answer every time, from your own settings.
- Do we cover this postcode?
- Is this a number that actually dials?
- Is this time still free?
What you need set up
Settings in your own account. Nothing here is guessed on your behalf.
- Your opening hours
- Your timezone
- The postcodes you cover
- Your services, their length and their price
- Your price list
Without your hours and timezone there are no times to offer, so the process hands every customer to a person instead of inventing one.
How it can end
The complete list. There is no other ending it can reach.
- Appointment booked
- Outside the area you cover
- Nothing free — handed to a person
- Handed to a person
- Visitor left
- Something went wrong — handed to a person

The limits
This process runs end to end. These are the boundaries it still has, published with it so nobody finds them on a Tuesday afternoon with a customer waiting.
- A confirmation email is sent. No SMS is sent from any process.
- Urgency is written onto the appointment for whoever works it.
- The vehicle is described in free text and nothing decodes it.
- It books a visit, never a price.

Existing customer — move or cancel a booked service
Automotive
You say which car it is and either take a new time from what the workshop genuinely has free or cancel it — without ringing at eight in the morning when everyone is already under a bonnet.
Run this one on your own hours, services and postcodes.
Starter and above. Your settings decide the wording, the durations, the prices and the times it offers — nothing on this page is a template you have to accept as written.
