The situation it is for

Routine servicing is the predictable half of a workshop's week and the half most often booked by somebody standing at a counter with a phone in their hand. This does it without interrupting anyone.

A driver wants to bring the car in for its service. The bot asks which service, takes their details, offers real slots from your ramp diary and books it in for the length that job ties a ramp up.

Who runs it

Independent garages and workshops the customer drives to.

It starts when somebody types

  • book my car in
  • garage appointment
  • book a service
  • bring my car in
  • workshop booking
  • book an inspection

The conversation

What it asks

6 questions, asked in this order. Every answer is written down for whoever picks the job up.

  1. 01What you need

What's it in for — a full service, an interim service, or its annual inspection?

Decides how long the appointment is, which item on your price list is booked, and how the next question is worded.

    • Full service
    • Interim service
    • Annual inspection
  2. 02How soon

How soon do you want it in?

Written onto the appointment for whoever works it. It moves nobody up a queue — EzyConn has no priority queue and no callout deadline to sort into.

    • It's off the road — I can't drive it
    • Drivable, but I want it looked at this week
    • Planned — book me in
  3. 03Name

And who should we put this down for?

The name the appointment or enquiry is recorded under.

  4. 04Phone

What's the best number to reach you on?

The only way to reach the customer if anything changes.

  5. 05Email

What's the best email address for the appointment and its confirmation?

The email address it is recorded against.

  6. 06Anything to look at

Anything specific you'd like us to look at while it's in?

Context for whoever takes the appointment.

Those options are the starting set. The services you configure — and, where a process asks for them, the languages you work in — replace them, and the wording follows.

The rules that run

Checks, not judgement calls. The same answer every time, from your own settings.

  • Is this a number that actually dials?
  • Is this time still free?

What you need set up

Settings in your own account. Nothing here is guessed on your behalf.

  • Your opening hours
  • Your timezone
  • Your services, their length and their price
  • Your price list

Without your hours and timezone there are no times to offer, so the process hands every customer to a person instead of inventing one.

How it can end

The complete list. There is no other ending it can reach.

  • Appointment booked
  • Nothing free — handed to a person
  • Handed to a person
  • Visitor left
  • Something went wrong — handed to a person

The limits

This process runs end to end. These are the boundaries it still has, published with it so nobody finds them on a Tuesday afternoon with a customer waiting.

  • A confirmation email is sent. No SMS is sent from any process.
  • No individual member of staff is chosen.
  • No registration or VIN decode, no op-code menu, no labour-time lookup and no parts check.
  • This is not a franchise service drive. There is no connector to any dealer management system, so warranty position, prepaid maintenance, open recalls, advisor capacity and loaner cars are all invisible to it — a main dealer booking that never reaches the DMS is one the advisor has to re-key.

Everything EzyConn does for automotive

  • AUTO-02Available now

    Diagnostic or repair request

    Automotive

You say where the car is and what it's doing, and somebody is booked to come to it — you don't have to get it to a garage first.

  • AUTO-03Available, with a limit

Existing customer — move or cancel a booked service

    Automotive

You say which car it is and either take a new time from what the workshop genuinely has free or cancel it — without ringing at eight in the morning when everyone is already under a bonnet.

Run this one on your own hours, services and postcodes.
